Who we are

What we collect

Account data

• Email address, a salted password hash and the workspace name you choose.
• Team membership, roles and the profile access your workspace owner assigns.
• An audit log of actions taken in your workspace (for example who opened or edited a profile).

Workspace content

• Browser profiles you create: names, notes, tags, fingerprint settings, extensions and automation workflows.
• Proxy settings and saved logins for profiles. Proxy passwords are stored encrypted.
• Cookie and storage snapshots of your profiles, stored encrypted so a profile can be opened on another computer.

This content exists to provide the service to you. We do not inspect it, sell it or use it for advertising.

Technical data

• IP address, user agent and request times, kept in server logs for security, abuse prevention (for example limiting repeated free trials) and troubleshooting.
• The name and app version of computers you connect to your workspace.

Payments

Plans and credit are paid in cryptocurrency. We record the amount, currency, invoice address and transaction id to credit your account. We do not collect card details.

Cookies

We use a single first-party session cookie to keep you signed in, and local storage for preferences such as the color theme. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Service providers

We share data only with providers that help run the service, under contracts that limit their use of it:

• Hosting: [hosting provider and data-center country].
• Transactional email (sign-up, invitations, password resets): Resend.
• Built-in proxy service, when you assign one to a profile: [proxy provider].

We disclose data to authorities only when legally required to.

How long we keep it

Account and workspace data are kept while your account is active. Deleted profiles go to Trash and are removed when you empty it or purge them. When you ask us to delete your account we delete its data within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons. Server logs are kept for [N] days.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, object to or restrict its processing, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. Email [email protected] from your account address and we will answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU, UK or a similar jurisdiction you may also complain to your data-protection authority.

Security

Traffic is encrypted with TLS, passwords are hashed and secrets such as proxy passwords and cookies are encrypted at rest. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you we will tell you without undue delay.

Children

VPBrowser is not intended for anyone under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We will post changes on this page and update the date above. For significant changes we will also notify account owners by email.
